Last weekend, we hosted our first ever "Rampfest Crown" Scooter Competition and we were stoked on the turnout! We had some fantastic riding, some big crashes and some crazy tricks thrown down, which all added up to make a huge fun for everyone who attended.
It's been a while since we had a Scooter Competition in Victoria... going way back before the first round of lockdowns last year. But it was so cool to see that the level of riding hasn't dropped off and that there are plenty of people stoked to be back out and competing.
As usual, the under 12's scooter competition showed us all how good the kids can be. There was plenty of awesome tricks being thrown down, but more than that, it's great to see the young kids getting out and just ripping in. Congratulations to Keven Jeffery for taking on the top spot, and to Ben Dichera & Anders Salmon for making it onto the podium.
Stepping up a couple of years, the Under 14s Scooter Competition was incredible. RampFest local and long time competitor, Taj Shambrook took out the win with a very clean run - impressing the judges no end. Rounding out the top 3 was Cooper Clement & Jules Walker-Pierce - who both put together solid runs on the day.
The Open Amateur Scooter Competition was the closest battle for the top spot - with just 2x points separating first and 2nd place. But coming home with the goods was Felix Corcornan - who just edged out Jay Marshall for the win. Third place was only a few points back and that went to Brad Wade. Also, big props to Sienna Willoughby who was the sole female competitor for the day.
The Pro Scooter Competition was where the action really started to get interesting... with plenty of well know riders in the field, it was always going to see some crazy action. We weren't disappointed with plenty of crazy tricks being put down all over the park. Rhys Rogers took out the win, with Jack O'Neil and Dylan Morrison talking the other spots on the podium.
