Pro Series Australasian Qualifier - 19th of August

On the 19th of August, we're stoked to be hosting the Australasian leg of the Pro Scooter Series Qualifiers!

The Pro Scooter Series is the biggest event in the world for Freestyle Scooters.  And the only way in win an entry into the Gold Coast Grand Final is to compete at Rampfest on the 19th of August.  The top 4 place getters will score an invite to compete against the world’s best on the Gold Coast, and a shot at $24,000 in Prize Money!

We'll also be hosting an Am Comp on the same day - the Rampfest Am Jam.  The Am Jam is for the younger guys who want a taste of a big-time competition.  With the same judges, MC and Rules as the Pro Series Event, the young guys get to watch their idols, and then give it a shot themselves!  There will be plenty of prizes and giveaways for the top 3, plus some special prizes for the youngest shredders, best tricks, best line etc.

Competition Format:

Applies to both Pro Series & Am Jam

  • Competitors will be divided into heats of 10 at random
  • Each Competitor will be given 2x 45second runs in Qualifying (each heat will cycle through both runs before moving on to the next heat)
  • The Highest Scoring Run will count for your overall position.  In the event of a tie - the 2nd run will be used as a “count back”
  • The top 10 scorers from all heats will advance to a final
  • Qualification Scores will have no impact on the final - except to decide the running order (top qualifier goes last)
  • The finals will run the same as the Qualifications - 2x 45 sec runs, highest score counts, 2nd run used to break a tie only
  • The highest scores will determine the final order
  • The top 4x Finishers will win a place at the Scooter Hut Pro Series Final

The Judges will be scoring based off the standard ASA Judging Criteria.

Event FAQ’s:

Will I get Practice before my runs?

The Pro Series competitors will get 1hr of dedicated practice.  And then each Heat will get a short practice session, but this will be SHORT and strictly limited due to time Constraints.  We advise you to get as much practice at Rampfest in the lead up to the event.

Am Jam competitors will get a short 30min practice session before their competition starts.

Do I have to pay to spectate?

No - spectating is free, but you will be asked to leave your scooter outside if you aren’t competition or paying for a day ride.

Is Rampfest Open to the public?

From 9am-12pm we are open to the public, and from we’ll be open to the public again as soon as the competition finishes (approximately 5pm).  Normal session fees apply to anyone wanting to free ride and not compete.

Is the Resi Included in the comp?

NO - the quarter Resi will be removed for the comp, and the no tricks will be counted on the box jump Resi for the Pro series event.
